This Sunday is Pentecost Sunday and what an unusual time we are in! None of us have ever experienced the sudden shifts of life that we're experiencing now.
The dreams we had at one time may have been shattered and blown away. But the Lord is doing a completely new work! Hallelujah! O Lord, You are Mighty!
Isaiah 43:19 says "For I am about to do something new! I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland."
This we know: The Lord is fully at work, moving in our midst! He is not caught off guard by any of the changes we have seen.
Would you join me in praying that this weekend, this Pentecost season, the Holy Spirit would do a mighty work of salvation and transformation in us and around us? How we need Him to renew all things!
Would you join me in praying that more and more people would say "Yes, Lord Jesus, I want you in my life! Holy Spirit, I surrender my all to You! Heavenly Father, I know you have forgiven my sins, and I am ready and willing from now on to live for You!"
May 2020 be the year that Jesus receives a most bountiful harvest of souls and devoted disciples. And may God's people arise to shine His glory and goodness for all to see!
Dear Heavenly Father, we thank you for the gift of the Holy Spirit to comfort, guide and empower us to live for you. How gracious you are! Jesus, because of your great love and power, heal those who are broken and sick. Strengthen the weary and weak. Holy Spirit, descend on us, we pray, for the glory of Your Great Name! Amen
